My Old Kingdom Hall being merged with TWO other congregations!
by pale.emperor inthis can only be a good sign.. my old congregation in liverpool has had a lot of money in it's bank account for years.
for a long, long time (almost 8 years) they've been looking for land to build a new hall.
the one they're in now is literally falling to bits.

Part of Growing Up - Saying Goodbye to Invisible Friends?
by doubtfull1799 ini don’t remember having any invisible friends when i was a really little boy, i don’t know if such a thing actually exists, i’ve only ever seen it in movies?
of course it might have looked to others like i was talking to someone on occasions, but i’m sure it would have just been me talking to myself.
the thing is though, i got introduced to an invisible friend in my pre-teens, and i kept the relationship going well into adulthood.

Why is Jehovah invisible ?
Is it because he couldn't get any clothes to fit him?

was for sale as a commercial premises---right next door to tesco superstore, macdonalds, and a large car sales business. a sort of business park area--not at all residential.
i remember it being quick-built. i think most of the congregants have grown old and died off now. very few young ones--just a few born-ins.

same here. local hall has now got a buyer--i understand. ( asking price £500.000.
dwindling membership. sharing with 2 other congregations at a hall 10 miles away.
i had 2 at my door recently---and asked them what was to happen with the money---their reply was its to be used to build more halls in other countries ! i put them right about the true use of it.

What's your degree of anti-JWness?
by Landy inso, on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is absolutely pro-jw, 5 is neutral and 10 is youtubing nutjob apostate, where do you stand?.
i'm probably around a 6. i have the view that jws are a nothing marginal religion.
if i hadn't been brought up as one i doubt they would have ever entered my consciousness.. the reasons it's a 6 and not a 5 is that i have some concerns over their child baptism and safeguarding procedures, but i think it's down to them being a bit dim rather than any pro child abusing ethos.

i draw the line at disrupting their meetings. simply because i wouldnt want to enter a hall or an assembly.
their inhuman shunning policy is wrecking families and causing totally unnecessary stress, misery--and even leading to some poor souls taking the final exit.
as regards the no blood policy--i think the estimated numbers of deaths is way more than reality---but even so--one death is one too many. can you seriously imagine Jesus encouraging a parent to let a child die for want of it ?
ive no issue with the watchtower teachings re: armageddon--resurrection--new world etc----if people choose to believe that nonsense--good luck to them. never gonna happen.
